Have you ever thought about what makes an online learning experience among the best? Get in the know! In this episode, Senior Instructional Designers Trelisa Glazatov and Alex Mills come together to discuss five tips for designing world-class online courses! As an online university, the eLearning team has worked to develop innovative frameworks. The outcome from the innovations is the dynamic, creative designs of world-class online courses that engage students in the classroom and positively impact the holistic academic student journey. We will share our tips and share some of the intentions around them.

TIP 1: TAKE TIME TO DREAM: Allow space/time for Visioning. Use Concept Mapping for skills and course concepts. In the course vision process, be intentional with the alignment of objectives/outcomes and skills by using Backwards Design.
TIP 2: STUDENT FIRST, CONTENT SECOND: Use the Know/Feel/Do Framework to create human-centered/student-centered engaging content.
TIP 3: BE INCLUSIVE: Use Inclusive Design when creating content, assignments, and resources for the course.
TIP 4: PUSH TOWARDS EXCELLENCE: Generate innovation by being creative and engaging the student.
